This week at MIUC sees some very distinguished International and interstate guests, inside and outside some first-time collaborations with two of Melbourne's greatest improvisers. 

Avant-space-funk legend, Yoshitake EXPE from Osaka is joined by Maria Moles, one of the most exciting local improvising drummers around. Expect some pan-continental free-funk-punk-avant-ecstatic transcendental fracturing groove-abstraction. 

Kouhei Harada makes a long overdue, and welcome return to the MIUC stage, this time with a new avant-glitch-noise-vision trio featuring Mitsuaki Matsumoto and Shohei Sasagawa. A deliberate and delicate audio-visual excursion into natural data corruption and aesthetic entropy. 

And one of history's most innovative and accomplished improvising guitarists, Dave Brown, teams up with a legend of avant-orchestral percussion in Australia, Vanessa Tomlinson, for what promises to be one of the most rarefied and sublime exercises in improvised sonic abstraction you will ever hear in your life.
